In this very steep vineyard grows one of the most elegant and perfumed white wines in the world. The stony, shallow blue slate soil gives the wine a delicate and fresh acidity and a unique elegance. In their youth, the wines of the Wehlener Sonnenuhr are the most charming of our estate, with the fragrance of white peach and green apple. With many years of bottle maturity, they can grow into legends. Auslese are top wines made from fully ripe, partly noble rot (min. 50%), selected grapes. Late-harvested, highly ripe, hand-selected grapes produce very long-lasting, concentrated wines bursting with fruit and minerality.
