The Chave family exemplifies the concept of ‘People, Place and Time’ as they have been vignerons in the Rhône Valley since 1481, spanning an impressive 16 generations. Initially farming exclusively in St. Joseph, they relocated to Hermitage about a century ago due to the devastation caused by phylloxera in the region.
