Originally from the Médoc region, Carmenere has been cultivated in Chile for over a century. The vines display a deep carmine red color in autumn, signaling the completion of a growth cycle during which the grapes achieve optimal ripeness. This particular wine originates from the Peumo Vineyard in the D.O. Peumo, located in the Valle del Cachapoal, Chile. The harvest took place between May 23 and 28, with grapes being hand-picked and meticulously selected. The blend consists primarily of Carmenere, complemented by a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. After harvesting, the wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
