One of the world’s finest dessert wines, “Les Quarts” is the original plot that gave its name to the Quarts-de-Chaume appellation. Belargus’s plot encompasses nearly half of the 7 hectares of this area, situated on the southern slope of the hill. In exceptional vintages, the domaine produces a traditional noble rot sweet wine from this legendary plot. The unique terroir of Quarts-de-Chaume—characterized by a sunny south-facing hillside, morning mists from the Layon River, and constant winds—contributes to a botrytis with remarkable concentration. Additionally, the pudding-rock schists found in these soils impart vertical tension and elegant freshness to this cuvée.
